Fed: Hollingworth extends sympathies to Canberra fire victims
CANBERRA, Jan 19 AAP - Governor-General Peter Hollingworth today extended his sympathiesto those affected by the Canberra bushfires.
Dr Hollingworth cut short his holiday in Victoria to return to the ACT this morning.
"I have the highest confidence in our emergency services," he said.
"This is a state of emergency and everything is being coordinated as it should be.
