NSW: Armed men kidnap and assault man in Sydney's west
SYDNEY, April 11 AAP - A man was kidnapped and forced into the back of his car beforebeing robbed and assaulted overnight in Sydney's west.
Armed men stole the victim's mobile phone, wallet and handheld computer before he wasforced into the back seat of his car about 9.10pm (AEST) yesterday, police said.
The 32-year-old man was held-up by two men, armed with a metal pole and a knife, ashe getting into his vehicle parked in Woodville Road at Guildford.
Police said the robbers drove the car to a nearby ATM where they forced the man towithdraw money from his bank account and then assaulted him.
The vehicle was driven to nearby Macarthur Street where the two men got out of thevehicle and spoke with other men in a small grey or silver early model sports car.
Police said the victim was then able to escape to a nearby resident's home where heraised the alarm.
Ambulance and police officers later attended, with the victim treated for cuts and bruises.
